Remember Your Baptism

Scripture: Luke 3:15-22

Jesus' baptism was the inauguration of a public movement, in which - through the Holy Spirit - Jesus came to embody the kingdom.  Baptism for us, then, is the public recognition of being taken up into the public mission of Jesus.  In baptism, we are called by the Father, called to Jesus, and continually sustained in our calling through the Holy Spirit.
