We will recap the previous covenants that bring us to the new covenant with God, though Jesus.  We will see how God’s grace and forgiveness has always been extensive; but how now, though Jesus, God restores the heart.

On the Mount of Transfiguration, we find Moses and Elijah visiting with Jesus.  Each one of these great men passed on their spirit to their successors, who then went on and did even greater things. Moses - Joshua;  Elijah - Elisha;  Jesus - the Church.

The words and deeds of Jesus carried an authority that left people simply amazed.  Jesus fully expects us to carry authority in his name.  We will wrestle with the question: do we live and walk in the authority of Jesus?

A New King in Town
