“Where are you?”

In this story of Adam and Eve, and the bite of the fruit, God is telling us what went wrong (and what goes wrong) with humans; and how He has (and does) respond.  Wherever you are, whatever you have done, God seeks to pull you out of hiding.  This story shows us how God does this.

“How can this be?”

How can it be that God changes us into the likeness of Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit?  Many of us are dragged down by normal, and wonder how life can be any different than normal.  Jesus tells us the first step to take.

“Is the Lord among us or not?”

Again and again God provides ‘make-no-mistake-this-is-from-God’ moments, intended for us to know and trust that He is with us always.  Again and again we forget and resort to negativity.  And yet God, in his grace, delivers us.

 “Do you believe this?”

Jesus asks this question of us.  Do you believe that he is the resurrection and life.  Jesus raises Lazarus so that those around him would believe.

“What shall I do, then, with Jesus?”

This question comes from the mouth of Pontius Pilate.  We will hold and weigh and examine this question within ourselves: what shall we do with Jesus, who is called the Christ?  If Jesus was just a man, then….If Jesus is God, then….
